We make it by hand using a technique called ‘cold brew’

This process consists of steeping ground coffee beans in cold water for a period of time up to 24 hours.
It is that simple.

 

After this time, it is filtered twice making a concentrated coffee that retains all its flavour, its natural sweetness and original aroma.  It is far less acidic and contains more caffeine that other coffees making it the perfect, natural energy booster to kick-start your day.

‘We remembered how, every morning in summer, at a bar in the town where we grew up, warm, filtered coffee would be poured into glass bottles and left in a fridge.  Cold coffee would then be served to customers after lunch.  This childhood memory and our desire to find an alternative to using filtered coffee brought us to discover a technique called cold brew.  It also answered our dilemma: why make hot coffee if it is going to be drunk cold?’

 

We do things with maximum care and attention to detail. Fred is bottled and labelled by hand in Barcelona.

 

We care for the environment. We do not create waste and the spent coffee grounds are recycled as plant fertilizer.
